Does planet earth count? I mean mostly in sci-fi movies obviously, but earth is ALWAYS a place aliens need to conquer, get water from (why? There is tons of it in space on asteroids), need our women, learn morality from (seriously ????), etc etc. The idea is people won’t relate to things without an Earth centric plot but the entirety of Star Wars avoids Earth completely and did pretty well over the years. Too broad? OK well I guess abandoned warehouse and parking garages might be a little overused as well.
I guess ‘Earth’ about covers it! And yes, warehouses and parking garages as well. There is a theory that Earth IS in the Star Wars universe. See, in some shots of the Imperial Senate in the prequels, someone thought it would be cute to have one of those little saucer things filled with…ETs. Like from the movie. Since they visited us in “E.T.”, that means, somewhere, we’re in Star Wars, too. Whee. Thanks, Vince!
Prequels, there were no prequels I know of….
