  1. I haven’t heard the podcast yet but I did see this in the cinema when it came out and while I was impressed with the visuals I don’t think I even smiled once. Maybe if I rewatch it I’ll feel differently, but I’m not planning on doing that soon.

    I like Speilberg as a director but he isn’t someone I feel like I will automatically like any of his films. Loved Jaws, it’s a true film classic. Close Encounters was one of faves for years but over time, less so. I really loved Empire of the Sun, a smaller more character-driven film. Jurassic Park is a great film and so influential it’s hard to put it on a list of his best films.
